Today was the first day up to the lodge since the big pineapple exploded with romantic slushiness. There is 10cm of fluff overlying a 10cm rain crust that carries well. Below the crust (120cm to ground) is consolidated and showing no weakness. We busted the road up to Cherry Top with no effort. We saw plenty of evidence of a widespread avalanche cycle down to the 071124 crust or surface hoar layer (depending on aspect).
