Driving Directions

Driving Directions to Baldface Lodge from Nelson, B.C.
1. Head west towards Castlegar on Highway 3A for approximately 10 km
2. Turn on your right turn signal as soon as you get on Taghum Bridge then turn RIGHT just after the bridge onto MARSDEN ROAD.
3. Veer LEFT immediately and pass through yellow gate up GROHMAN CREEK FSR (fire service road)
4. Continue for approximately 11 km then turn RIGHT at 11 km switchback (up Grohman, not Baldface)

Currency Exchange

Canadian bank machines will accept most ATM cards and spit out colorful Canadian bills in return. If you are concerned, check with your bank about its exchange rates before leaving home. Downtown Nelson, where you are never very far from an ATM machine, is home to Bank of Montreal, CIBC, Royal Bank, Scotia Bank, and a Credit Union.

Baldface Lodge, at 6,700 feet elevation, is a one-hour drive or ten-minute helicopter flight from Nelson, B.C. The timber-frame lodge has leather furniture, locally made fixtures and artwork, a wood stove, Persian carpets, and a fully stocked craftsman-style bar. Darts, a pool table, board games, and ping pong ensure exciting evenings and additional ammenities include digital projection equipment, wireless internet, cell reception, a cedar sauna, mountain bike rentals, and a complete network of hiking and biking trails .

Weddings

Baldface's serene mountain setting, wildflower meadows, and luxury high-alpine lodge with drive-in access offers adventurous couples the perfect site for that unforgettable day. Couples are encouraged to take a hands-on approach to create the wedding of their dreams. The lodge is open for wedding season between August 1 and October 15.
